Ted Henson has spent more than 30 years at the intersection of enterprise software, adult learning, and evidence-based literacy. He began his career developing courseware and delivering training for corporate adult learners, then spent a decade as an Oracle Principal Product Strategist for learning products.
After leaving Oracle, he became a technical consultant to AIM Institute for Learning & Research, where his long-standing collaboration with AIM helped deepen his focus on Science of Reading implementation. Ted built LiteracyLens because the practical tools principals need to lead effective literacy change simply did not exist—and because meaningful progress in education must be continuously monitored, evaluated, and translated into action.
That purpose now shapes his work across structured literacy research, enterprise-grade product design, and school-based implementation. He builds tools that help principals see whether literacy training is actually reaching classrooms, coach teachers with real evidence, and track progress toward state literacy mandates — with implementation costs that fit within Title I, Title II, and Title III federal funding.
