Our data commitments
- No student data, no student accounts. LiteracyLens stores teacher names and observation records only. The app is designed for administrators observing teachers — not for entering student information.
- No teacher accounts required. The principal or literacy consultant is the user; teacher profiles are roster records, not logins.
- The school owns its data. Observation records belong to the school or district, exportable at any time as CSV — see the exact columns in the Data Export Spec Sheet.
- No advertising, no behavioral tracking, no sale of data — school, teacher, or observation data, ever.
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), with every record scoped to its school.
- Deletion: complete account deletion within 30 days of request; backups expire on a rolling 90-day schedule; lapsed-subscription data retained 12 months then permanently deleted. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
